First up - The Doors. Great music and wonderful lyrics! I was really into them during the 90s after I saw the Doors movie by Oliver Stone. It was during this time that I began to take writing seriously, so Jim Morrison's lyrics have certainly had a major influence on my own poetry and lyrics. It was also a dark time for me - I began to drink heavily and was severely depressed. But music and writing got me through.

I love the power and influence of music and lyrics! The Doors are one of my faves... in fact I tend to like all the older stuff. Nothing inspires me more than when I hear a favourite old song. It transports me to another time, another place and another way of thinking.
