Musical Influences

My earliest memory is listening to Elvis Presley records in my parents' living room. Must have been about 3 or 4 years old, so Elvis to me is my first musical inspiration. Like my parents, I too became a big fan and remain one to this day. However, I don't really listen to him much these days, especially since I lost my Dad in September 2010. I just end up crying because Elvis' music reminds me so much of my childhood and happier times. And of course, Elvis will always remind me of my dear Dad.

How strange, I just watched an Elvis movie on TV this morning - Viva Las Vegas!

Elvis is the best!

Hi,

Apologies for the off-topic comment, but I couldn't find a contact email for you.

I recently put out an ebook of my writing, called The New Death and others. It's a collection of short pieces, mostly dark fantasy.

I was wondering if you'd be interested in doing a review on your blog.

If so, please email me: news@apolitical.info. Let me know what file format is easiest for you, and I'll send you a free copy.

You can download a sample from the ebook's page on Smashwords:

I'm also happy to do interviews, guest posts, or giveaways. Just let me know what you'd prefer.

Yours,
James.
